Will the bank accept torn cash?

so I am Canadian and I have a 100 bill in usa dollars. its torn in the middle about halfway on the width side. will the bank accept it and do I have to have a card?

The bank is mandated to accept all forms of deformed bills. as long as the safety features against fakes are there i.e. if they can confirm its a real not.
the only thing is that the bank MAY (or may not) take away a certain percentage (very small) to cover the costs they may incur since there will have to submit it to the central bank.

They will accept it as long as you still have all the pieces. If part is missing then its not acceptable. If you go to a bank that you don't already done business with they probably won't help you unless you try to use the $100 to open an account.
