I prefer Chase over Bank of America. Chase's online banking is way better than Bank of America's, and with Chase's purchase of WaMu, they are now just as big as Bank of America in terms of branches and ATMs, which would have been the only, possible, and improbable reason I would ever choose Bank of America over Chase.

Plus, I get the feeling that you are young. Under 18, even? Well, Chase offers a checking accounts specially for teenagers, whereas at Bank of America, it's the banker's discretion of whether to open an account for a minor or not.

Plus fees. Chase you can get free checking if your parents have an account there, or if you have direct deposit, or just make 5 debit cards purchases a month. Bank of America is not so flexible. You must have direct deposit or you will get dinged with a monthly service fee. I remember being a teenager. I didn't always get a paycheck every month.

And ATM fees! Bank of America's is some of the highest! I used to have a premium account with them that was supposed to give me fee-free use of non-Bank of America ATMs, but they took that away a few years ago when they decided that they didn't have to offer that because they were "all over," and "oh so big." (Actually, they are not really all over, just in less than 30 states. The new Wells Fargo-Wachovia is in 40 including DC). Bunch of BS. Chase, in some markets, offer free use of non-Chase ATMs (though the other bank may charge you). And still avoid Bank of America ATMs. They charge non-customers $3.00. That's ridiculous.

Anyways, hope this helps.

How to Cash a Bank of America check is nearly impossible without depositing the check into our own checking account and covering the balance of the Bank of America check till it clears. BANK OF AMERICA is becoming obsolete, so their executives can maximize their profits. This opens many doors for fraud to occur and Bank of America will have no obligations to the victims. Many money cashing facilities will not accept Bank of America checks and soon many businesses will no longer accept them. The only customers Bank of America will possess will be the credit cards & loans. I would not ensure any cash or funds with this facility. I'm confused by the Bank of America home page indicating that they are not FDIC insured. Is Bank of America a bank in America? Are they FDIC insured? What is going on in America?

Bank Of America has lots of branches just pick the one with more close to home and wherever else you visit frequently
