If now-day Gaza and west bank Arabs are originally from Israel why do so many have last names that say they originated elsewhere ??

Many Arabs identify their origins by their family names. Here are some of the most common family names among the "Palestinians": "Masri" = from Egypt-Hamas member of Parliament, Mushir al-Masri (the word "masri" littelery means "the egyptian" in arabic...

Answer (6):

Israel is Forever

WELL OF COURSE IT"S A ZIONIST CONSPIRACY!!!
We all went around and changed the inhabitants names in order to delegitimatize them. It's not as if they moved in illegally in the last 100 years?! because Arabs of all people never do that!

Rob

most non jews in israel are "refugees" from syria sent in after the muslims lost the wars they started to destabilize the jewish state; kinda how mexico operates with its neighbor to the north

saagi

Let's keep reminding them of walid shuabit, no matter how much they ignor it

Magui

Because most "Palestinians" are people who migrated from those areas to "Palestine". These migrations began, I believe, only about 100 years ago.

Thank you Shayeb 3yeb for proving that Palestine and specially Jerusalem is a holy Place for the Muslims, Arab and non-Arab.....

Those Palestinian families have continuous presence for at least 1000 year .....lets take some those family history for example "Al-husayni Family"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Husayni...

"The Husaynis migrated to Jerusalem in the 12th century after Saladin drove out the Crusaders from the city and much of the Levant"

another good example is "Nashashibi Family"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nashashibi...

"The Nashashibis are reportedly of Kurdish, Turkmen or Arab origin (as their name being the equivalent of fletcher in English may indicate). They first became notable and prominent in Jerusalem with the advent of Prince (of the army) Naser al-Din al-Nashashibi who migrated (or led a military contingent ?) to Jerusalem from Egypt in 1469 CE. He was chosen to guard and be the custodian of al-Haram ash-Sharif (the two Sacred Shrines): the al-Aqsa Mosque and the Cave of the Patriarchs (the Al Ibrahimi Mosque) in Hebron. Nasser al-Din is also credited with being the first official to bring "piped" and channeled water to Jerusalem from the Bethlehem (Al Khader) area. A gate to the esplanade of the Jerusalem Haram is named after him .

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nusaybah_c...
"The Nusaybah Clan (Arabic: عائلة نسيبة‎) alternatively spelt Nusseibeh is the name of the oldest Arab family in Jerusalem. The Nusseibeh family has a long history and tight bonds with the Holy Land, Jerusalem, since the days their first forefathers arrived into Jerusalem in the 7th century"

here is one good news for Shayp 3ayeb

http://cnsnews.com/video/cnsnews/palestinian-negotiator-saeb-erekat-claims-canaanite-origins

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haneen_Zoabi

Palestine is a holy place for Arab and Muslims..... since the beginning of Islam many Muslims used to visit the Holy Al-Quds Al-Sharif, Jerusalem, more than 1000 years ago .....They made large Palestinian families that took their name......lived in peace with other families in Palestine until the zionists started the invation of Palestine in the 20th century.
...............................
@Shayp 3ayep.....
ALL the family names that refer to countries, cities are to countries that are thousands of years old......even older than the claimed "old israel".....again proving my point that Palestine is a holy place for ALL MUSLIMS and many used to visit and some settled in Palestine.....

The families names you provided do count less than 1% of Palestinians families ....I know many families names of JEWISH ORIGIN that do count more than the above list of familes . Many Christians family names that do count more than 10 times of both your list and the Jewish families.....Palestine is rich of families that been there for thousands of years which will false the zionist claim "a land with no people"

.........
are israelis that stupid and easy brainwashed......claiming that some of these families have presence in Palestine for LESS THAN 100 YEARS, which is false,,meantime all people of this world know that israel is less than 68 years old,1948.....STILL OLDER THAN israel even if we take the israelis argument....

Jonathan

Because many people immigrated to those areas.
